Quest Africa Cancellation and Refund Policy

  1. Introduction

At Quest Africa, we understand that unforeseen circumstances may necessitate changes to your participation in our programs. This Cancellation and Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions regarding cancellations, refunds, and related procedures to ensure clarity and fairness for all parties involved.

  1. Definitions
  • Experience Fee: The total cost associated with enrolling in a Quest Africa experience, including accommodation, and other related expenses.
  • Deposit: A non-refundable initial payment required to secure a place in the experience.
  • Cancellation: The act of withdrawing from an experience after enrollment.
  • Refund: The return of a portion of the Experience Fee following a cancellation, as per the terms outlined below.
  1. Cancellation by Participant

Participants who wish to cancel their enrollment must provide written notice to Quest Africa. The date of receipt of the written notice will determine the applicable refund amount, as follows:

  • More than 90 days before program start date:
    • Refund of 100% of the Program Fee, minus the non-refundable deposit.
  • 60 to 89 days before program start date:
    • Refund of 75% of the Program Fee, minus the non-refundable deposit.
  • 30 to 59 days before program start date:
    • Refund of 50% of the Program Fee, minus the non-refundable deposit.
  • Less than 30 days before program start date:
    • No refund will be issued.
  1. Cancellation by Quest Africa

In the unlikely event that Quest Africa cancels a program, participants will receive a full refund of all payments made, including the deposit. Quest Africa is not responsible for any additional expenses incurred by participants, such as airfare or travel insurance.

  1. Program Modifications

Quest Africa reserves the right to make changes to program itineraries, schedules, or content as necessary. Such modifications do not constitute grounds for a refund. However, if significant changes are made, participants will be notified promptly and provided with alternative options.

  1. Travel Insurance

Participants are strongly encouraged to purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellations, medical emergencies, and other unforeseen events. Quest Africa does not provide travel insurance and is not liable for any costs incurred due to lack of coverage.

  1. Refund Process

Refunds will be processed within 30 days of receiving the written cancellation notice. All refunds will be issued to the original method of payment unless otherwise agreed upon.

  1. Non-Transferability

Program enrollments are non-transferable. Participants who cancel cannot transfer their enrollment or payments to another individual or program.

  1. Special Circumstances

In cases of serious illness, family emergencies, or other extenuating circumstances, Quest Africa may, at its discretion, offer partial refunds or credits toward future programs. Such considerations will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and require appropriate documentation.
